Finance Committee
The Finance Committee is the primary budgeting authority of the Town. It reviews financial needs and problems, and works with the Select Board and other Town officials in preparing the annual Town budget. The budget reflects the anticipated expenditures and revenues of the Town for the coming year.
Along with its financial report, which is distributed at Town Meeting, the Finance Committee makes recommendations on the advisability of each budget item on the Town Meeting warrant. A Reserve Fund for unanticipated expenditures is approved at Town Meeting and then may be appropriated by the Finance Committee without further voter approval.
